Grassroots Publicity Kit

This grassroots publicity kit contains information for you to use in promoting “And Thou Shalt Honor in your community. Items that are not yet "clickable" will be added shortly.

  • Logo - for letterhead, fliers, pamphlets or any other materials you might develop to promote “And Thou Shalt Honor…”
  • Photos – for use with the media or in your publications
  • Official news release – sent to all the major national media outlets
  • Press Release Insert – information about the program and the outreach campaign to be included in your press releases
  • Op Ed piece - to send to your local newspaper
  • Tip Sheet – ideas for Public Television Station activities
  • Fact Sheet – a convenient hand-out providing program information and raising caregiving issues

Please download this information and reproduce it as appropriate. Double-check all of the information before you print it because the airtime might be different in your community! Send the press releases to your local media along with a clip reel of the program. Make sure to inform the media of all of the activities you are organizing in your community around “And Thou Shalt Honor…” and include of all the information they will need to know to attend the event, contact the coordinators, or interview a spokesperson. When working with the media, go to the television, radio and print media. Target those who are interested in community activities, the elderly, health, end-of-life issues and public policy. The “And Thou Shalt Honor…” stories and issues raised by the program will be of interest to each of them. Develop your own list of media contacts. Keep a record of your interactions and the response you have received. In the future, those records will help you determine who to approach for coverage of similar stories.
