Town Hall Meeting Format

Evening Preceding

5:30-7:00pm -- VIP/Faculty Hosted Reception with taped Caregiver Portraits entertainment.

Event Day

7:00-8:30am -- Register, coffee, And Thou Shalt Honor documentary playing on exhibit hallway monitors.

8:30-9:30am -- Foundation Introductions: panel, VIPs; Keynote Address (optional: in some venues). Overview of the caregiver landscape (Family Tree).

9:30-10:00am -- Break and Set up of video "studio" for participants.

10:00-12:00noon -- Five-camera videotaping of moderated "challenge" provided by the 3 case studies. Live audience Q&A.

12:00-1:30pm -- Break, Exhibits, Lunch (cold cuts buffet) with taped Caregiver Portraits on exhibit hallway monitors.

1:30-5:00pm -- Break out panel sessions with repeat session pattern (2 sessions at 1.5 hours each with 30 minutes between session break and transition time). Choice of:

  • Government Policy, Workplace/Employee assistance
  • Elder Law, Financial Planning, Asset Protection, LTC Insurance
  • Healthcare Services: Geriatrician (MD), Psycho/Social, Geriatric Care Manager (GCM)
  • Home-based v. facility-based options
  • Optional: Faith-based/spiritual, Productive lifestyle/SAGE POWER

5:00-6:30pm -- Hosted reception, Exhibits, dialogue with the faculty and Foundation Executives.
